Assessments
The Green Business Certification is a point-based system which provides a standard way of measuring a company’s environmental impact. The certification looks beyond the building materials and lighting used by including the people and business process and the certification is earned not bought.
Certification Process:
- Certification begins with a FREE Environmental Assessment.
- Based on Assessment results, recommendations are provided to the company to achieve the 100 point requirement for certification.
- Changes are prioritized and scheduled.
- Certification occurs when all changes are complete.
- An annual recertification is required to maintain a green status.
Items Considered During the Assessment:
- Reduction of Energy consumption, conservation of Water, Recycling efforts, Healthy Indoor Air Quality, Use of EnergyStar appliances, and more.

Implementation
The Green Consultant helps identify improvement areas and works with your team to implementation of the changes. Our goal is to help your company earn your Green Certification by making the right changes which help save money, help improve the work environment for your employees, and help protect the environment.
When all changes are complete, the Green Consultant re-evaluates the company and awards the Green Business Certification once the 100 points are achieved.
Training
There are a couple aspects of training which the Green Consultant can provide.
Provide employee training in order to explain the Green Certification process, stress the importance of the changes, and promote sustainability of the changes.
Provide informational session for employees to educate them about changes they can make in their own homes to reduce energy and their environmental impact. This service could be offered to the employees as a perk.
Training content is customizable to the needs of the company and employees.
